Mary Frances Lee

Mary Frances Swann Lee was born in Sanford, Florida, on September 18, 1943, and passed away on May 18, 2026. She was the widow of the love of her life, Donald Lee, to whom she had been married for almost 60 years at the time of his death in 2020.

Frances moved with Don and their children, Sheree and David, from Altamonte Springs, Florida, to Fort Worth, Texas, in 1972, after traveling the country as a family preaching and teaching the Bible. Frances and her husband finally settled in Boyd, Texas, in 2009 to be close to their family. Frances was a caring, loving mother, a devoted Grammy, and an incredible mentor to the many who listened to her speak about her Lord Jesus Christ.

She was one of five children and was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ora Mae Swann, and her siblings: George, Charles, Richard, and Charlotte.

She is survived by many loving friends and family members, including her children: Sheree Lee Garrett and husband Shawn of Decatur, TX; and David Micheal Edward Lee and wife Tammy Lee of Boyd, TX.

Grandchildren: Lisa Mae Zimmer Dunn of Boyd, TX; William Howard Zimmer II and wife Megan of Haslet, TX; Amanda Faith Zimmer Ragle and husband Weston of Weatherford, TX; and Sarah Michelle Lee of Paradise, TX.

Great-grandchildren: Nolan James and Lucas Slade Dunn; Brayden Ryan, Baylea Elizabeth, Shiloh Faith, Delilah Grace, and Colson Lee Ragle; and Eli Samuel, Hannah Elizabeth, and Asher Benjamin.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Linda Peterson of Jamestown, New York, as well as many friends too numerous to name individually.

Frances’s relationship with Jesus and the Bible was her greatest joy, followed closely by the family she absolutely loved. She cherished her church, Southern Gospel music, and playing board games and dominoes. Her favorite hobbies included sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
